Work as Key to the Social Question
In mid September 2001, The Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace held a conference on the theme of "Work as Key to the Social Question: The Great Social and Economic Transformations and the Subjective Dimension of Work." Held on the 20th anniversary of Laborem Exercens, the conference centered on the study of the challenges facing work in the era of globalization, focusing particularly on the subjective dimension of work. This resource features excerpts from Pope John Paul II's address to the participants of this conference.
