Psalm 56

A Psalm to pray anew in this time of war. Listen and pray for the Iraqis, Listen and pray for American troops, Listen and pray for our leaders.

Have pity on me, O God;
for soldiers trample upon me;
all the day they press their attack against me.

My adversaries trample upon me all the day;
yes, many fight against me.

O Most High, when I begin to fear,
in You will I trust.

In God, in whose promise I glory,
in God I trust without fear;
what can flesh do against me.

Let us continue to pray for an end to the war and a peaceful Iraq by every diplomatic means and with humanitarian concern for all.
