New Year's Prayer: Move Us O Lord

Move us, O Lord,
    from the usual and the practical
    as we move into a new decade. 
Move us to the shore of your endless possibilities,
    for community,
    for solidarity,
    and for peace. 
Help us become a people
    who are able to see visions
        and to embody faith and hope
    so we may actively create,
        with God and with our sisters and brothers,
    the Kingdom of peace and justice.
Stir us with passion for the possible.

Make this our New Year's desire
and our prayer for the new decade ahead.
