Caritas in Veritate addresses the social themes vital to the well-being of humanity and reminds us that authentic renewal of both individuals and society requires living by Christ’s truth in love. Truth in love is the heart of the Church’s social teaching. In this encyclical, Pope Benedict does not offer technical solutions to social problems, but rather focuses on the principles indispensable for authentic human development.
