Lenten Fast from Violence: A Weekly Reflection Series
Education for Justice, in collaboration with several other Catholic justice and peace organizations, challenges Catholics to fast from social and personal violence during Lent. Seven reflections are provided for weekly relection, prayer, and discussion for use with faith sharing groups, with your family, at your workplace, or as an individual. Themes include: exploring violence, Oscar Romero and being a prophet for peace, the meaning of true security, the CST perspective on peace, corporate profit in war, the seduction of violence, and torture. The reflections are also appropriate for use to remember the fourth anniversary of the start of the Iraq war on March 19.
