Human Rights Unit
Human Rights Day is held on December 10th, the anniversary of the United Nations General Assembly's adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948. This revised unit on Human Rights and Catholic Social Teaching introduces the concept of human rights as well as the specifics of the Universal Declaration, and reveals the Church's long promotion of economic, social, cultural, political and civil rights. Included are prayers, activities and discussion questions.
