HIV/AIDS and Children in Developing Countries
This fact sheet looks at children with AIDS in developing countries and their right to healthcare (can be used for Dec. 1, World AIDS Day). Even while medicines exist to greatly reduce the chances of mothers passing on HIV/AIDS to their children, these medicines are not available to many mothers across the world, resulting in a high child infection rate. This and other situations affecting children are highlighted in the fact sheet here.
