The Health Worker Crisis
There is a 4.25 million person shortage of health care workers in the world. The Americas have 14% of the world's population but 37% of health care workers, while Africa, with 11% of the world's population, has 3% of health care workers. This fact sheet/study guide/bulletin insert uses facts and graphics to illustrate the situation. It includes a CST reflection, questions, and a prayer for those countries left without workers as they migrate to the U.S.
