World Habitat Day is October 6th. This three-page resource looks at the facts and figures of urbanization today. This resource is designed to mark the UN celebration of World Habitat day and includes Catholic social teaching connections along with suggestions for action and further information.
The United Nations has designated the first Monday in October each year as World Habitat Day. This year's theme reflects on the state of our towns and cities and the basic right to adequate shelter for all. It is also intended to remind the world of its collective responsibility for the future of the human habitat.
