God of Peace

God of peace,
Today in the wilderness
Springs beauty like water.
Seeds lie in the dry earth
Awaiting the rains.

Where the parched desert cracked
Mighty rivers flow,
In a garden of plenty
Trees yield up their fruit.

Together in Your love,
We will realize our tomorrow.
With all those who scattered,
We will gather our crops.

In farms, field and cities
We will celebrate your justice
And in loving community
Reap a harvest of peace.
