The Center for Educational Design and Communication
God has given gifts and talents to everyone-and all are needed in the struggle to create a world of peace, justice, and solidarity. The artists and communication specialists of The Center for Educational Design and Communication have decided to contribute their gifts to that struggle. Their main interest is partnering with faith-based non-profits working to get people connected, transform relationships, and give visibility and voice to those who have been denied: poor women, homeless people, refugees, youth. Founded in 1984 by the United States Province of the Society of the Sacred Heart, the Center has chosen to serve the interests of the poor and vulnerable in keeping with the "option for the poor" of Catholic Social Teaching.
In the high-tech era we live in, social justice groups often lag behind their for-profit peers in the areas of technology and communication. To remedy this, the Center for Educational Design and Communication offers a variety of services, including the creation of brochures, newsletters, logos, web sites, CD-ROM presentations, and videos. These powerful tools of communication and education are now available for the purposes of justice-and at affordable rates for non-profits who might otherwise not be able to afford such services. The Center for Educational Design and Communication contributes their creative gifts to the struggle for peace and justice in our world.
