Make us faithful citizens,
willing to spend our time and energy participating in discernment
about our national budget,
willing to respond to the challenges of our faith
in deciding budget priorities,
willing to recognize that our voices matter and must be heard.
Give us wisdom to understand the complexities of budgets
and the importance of values, and the courage to develop our capacity to care.
